BodyRemote is a way of directly controlling muscles over the Internet. An open API is connected to an Arduino, which is regulates the output of a hacked off-the-shelf muscle-stimulator unit. Any interface — from a joystick to an assistive eye-tracker — can directly vary the amount of current being put into the muscles. In this way, a body’s motion can be controlled from across the room or across the world.
Everyone from avant-guarde choreographers to stroke victims have expressed interest in using, testing, and developing the BodyRemote. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to be a part of the project too!
